Account Information: When you register, we collect your full name, email address, and password (stored as a bcrypt hash — we never store plain-text passwords).
Optional Profile Data: Company name, job title, timezone preference, and appearance preference (dark/light theme).
Platform Preferences: Selected dashboards, domains, onboarding choices, and notification settings.
Usage Data: Login activity (timestamps, session duration), feature usage patterns, and interaction logs to improve the platform experience.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect or store: payment card numbers or banking details (payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe), personal browsing history outside of MAFURAD, social media data, location data beyond your selected timezone, or any biometric data.
3. How We Use Your Data
Personalization: Your selected dashboards and domains are used to tailor your intelligence feeds, surface relevant themes, and prioritize signals specific to your interests.
Product Improvement: Aggregated, anonymized usage data helps us improve the platform’s features, performance, and intelligence quality.
Notifications: We use your email and in-app notification preferences to alert you about new intelligence themes, risk changes, and platform updates.
Security: Login activity and session data are used to detect unauthorized access and protect your account.
4. Cookies
Session Cookies: Essential cookies used for authentication. These maintain your login state and expire when you log out or after 24 hours of inactivity.
Preference Cookies: Store your theme (dark/light) and timezone preferences locally in your browser.
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies.
5. Data Retention
Your account data is retained for as long as your account remains active. If you request account deletion, all personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely for platform improvement purposes.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process limited data on our behalf:
- Anthropic — AI processing for intelligence theme generation and analysis. Signal data (titles, descriptions from public sources) is sent for processing. No personal user data is shared.
- Railway — Cloud hosting infrastructure. Data is stored on Railway’s secure servers.
- Stripe — Payment processing (future). Stripe handles all payment data directly; we never see or store your card details.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data at any time via your Profile page
- Correct inaccurate information through your Profile settings
- Delete your account and all associated data by emailing [email protected]
- Export your data upon request
8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including: bcrypt password hashing with unique salts, HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, secure session management with HttpOnly cookies, CSRF protection on all forms, and rate limiting on authentication endpoints.
9. Social Sign-In
When you sign in using Google, Microsoft, or LinkedIn, we receive only your name, email address, and profile picture from the provider. We do not access your email inbox, cloud storage, contacts, calendar, or any other services. This information is used solely for authentication and account creation on MAFURAD Intelligence Platform. You can remove social sign-in connections from your Profile page at any time.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Users will be notified of material changes via email and in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
